High-tech living room in Kraler square in Cortina.
The square in front of the store, at Corso Italia 107, is redesigned to enhance its social function through technological innovation. The square does not lose sight of its social function: it offers everyone the opportunity to sit and chat as it was and is still used in a space that integrates with the store thanks to the physical opening of the mobile windows. It is from this strong need for interaction with the outside, from this boundary between inside and outside, that the project "Franz Kraler for young people" is born, aiming to develop young people's natural inclination to invent new forms of contact with the public, thus relating to the world of work in a serene and proactive way. The interactive screens and Wi-Fi stations are managed by 5 young people from the Valboite Comprehensive Institute responsible for assisting people of all ages in the new way of socializing and multimedia shopping. Franz Kraler inaugurates the winter season in Cortina d'Ampezzo with a grand event dedicated to fashion, music, and multimedia. The four Wi-Fi home automation stations, started in the summer, are now entirely protected with double-pitched larch roofs to withstand winter weather conditions, offering everyone the opportunity to sit and chat in front of plasma screens that broadcast weather services, news, games, and useful information to holidaymakers. Available for free, a self-managed power generator and a satellite communication system to allow connection and charging of personal devices 24 hours a day, even in emergency conditions. The illuminated wolves, by Cracking Art, act as "guards" for the telematic infrastructures. Made of recycled plastic, they recall, in a place dedicated to shopping, the values of sustainability and respect for the environment.
