The places of Daniela Kraler's heart
In an outlook of attention and dedication to the customer, safeguarding traditions and rediscovering the culture of the territory, the book "The Places of the Heart" by Daniela Kraler is born. A sort of emotional map of the secret addresses of the Dolomites.
In about forty illustrated pages with the etchings of local artists, Daniela does not talk about the classic postcard scenarios favored by jet setters and happy few, nor about challenging routes for athletes and naturalists with a desire for adventure, but about intimate places, special to her, that remain outside the institutional guides.
The glaciers of the Antelao, Sorapis, and Pelmo mountains reachable only by helicopter, the isolated mountain huts under the Croda da Lago where, after a snowcat ride, you can dine with cheeses and freshly milked milk falling asleep on hay mattresses. The slopes at 2,500 meters altitude behind the Tre Cime di Lavaredo to experience the adrenaline of ski mountaineering, the refuges in the background of Lake Misurina.
Ancient castles (the one with crenellated towers of Englar hosted the great poet Rainer Maria Rilke) and unexpected glimpses of uncontaminated nature invite the reader to moments of pleasant relaxation and solitude.
Traces of history and legend are only briefly noted in this small travel notebook to be conveniently stored in the pocket, right there, close to the heart.
